Hajj is an obligatory pilgrimage for those who can afford it financially and are physically fit. Muslims who can perform Hajj should do it at least once in their lifetime
Pilgrims from North America, who are bound for the Holy City of Madinah or any other city of Saudi Arabia, can travel in their normal dresses. Otherwise, if the flight is bound to Jeddah, and has a stop for a flight break before entering the territory of Saudi Arabia, pilgrims can wear Ihraam at that airport lounge and pray 2 nafl for “Hajj Tomattu” an added privilege to perform Umrah and Hajj in one travel, while carrying no sacrificing animal. After Tasleem they should recite the Arabic phrase shown below 3 times and keep on saying it from time to time until arrive in front of the Ka’ba. It is the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
